23m long and with 2m high letters, this permanent installation on top of the old Rosemount factory in Derry dominates the landscape.
Designed with long-life and low power LED bulbs, each letter is individually controllable and has four channels, allowing both subtle and extravagant animation.
The 2.7 tonne galvanised steel framework along with the letters themselves were 3D modelled to suit the roof of the building, before being fabricated & installed by us.
Tim Etchells : A simple phrase with many different meanings appeared above the Rosemount Shirt Factory in huge steel letters studded with LED bulbs, recalling the industry that once made Derry the shirt-making capital of the world.
