Neon Circus, a look back at 2015.

Another exciting year for the Neon Circus team. As we roll into 2016 we would like to share with you some of our favourite select projects from throughout 2015.

THIS IS XYZ, NIKE ACG
 
Fabricated for an event @ Nikelab 1948, London. White and orange neon mounted to a black stove enamelled box with vinyl decal. Cables and transformers hidden within the box. CNC profiled acrylic cover with flame polished edges and standoffs.

VICTORIA & ALBERT MUSEUM, ALL OF THIS BELONGS TO YOU
 
‪#‎ThisBelongsToYou‬ Large scale neon installation mounted to a lightweight aluminium frame. Designed & installed with no invasive fixings to the Grade 1 listed building.

STELLA MCCARTNEY, HELLO LOVE FESTIVAL

Famous fashion designer Stella McCartney has teamed up with a breast cancer survivor to design a bright pink mastectomy bra for the masses.

STELLA MCCARTNEY, SEASONAL WINDOWS
 

Spring:These plywood and aluminium boxes each housed an array of bulbs which were controlled to animate the windows of Stella McCartney’s London stores.
Summer: MDF Carcasses to house television screens which would be hung in the store windows. The boxes were rendered with a thin layer of concrete to give the impression of being giant solid blocks.
Autumn: These individually illuminated birch ply compartments were produced on our CNC router, and held in position with edge polished clear acrylic to give the illusion of them floating unsupported in the windows. All the lights used were low energy LED or compact fluorescent bulbs.
Winter: An Autumn campaign for Stella McCartney promoting her Fur free Fur range, a line with the look and feel of fur, but without the cost of life to animals in the fur trade. Neon circus created these industrial style displays using scaffold and handrail fixtures, flat cut brushed and mirror letters with animated LED bulbs for her stores worldwide.

LAGAN WEIR BRIDGE

 Over 250 individually controlled, colour changing LED light fixtures, including continuous in-handrail linear, wall washers and in-ground markers. All manufactured by Neon Circus to a bespoke specification. Our control system allows remote control for the client from touchscreen tablets and allows for simple, static colour scenes or complex animations.

SEEN PRESENTS, A STRONGER YOU STARTS HERE
 
This piece formed the focal point of Nike’s for their flagship store in the UK: Niketown London. Neon circus were commissioned to design and fabricate this multi-tiered chandelier piece. Composed of timber, concrete laminate, rolled and fabricated steel frames, neon and fluorescents (and an elaborate rigging system) our team overcame loading constraints on the existing lighting truss by creating structural rigging points to the building’s structural steelwork concealed up behind the ceiling.

Fabricated and installed for award winning multidisciplinary design company Williams Murray Hamm, London branch. Ruby red glass, scripted style.

Fabricated and installed at their main office in London. 10mm clear blue glass.

CONWAY SQUARE
 
We created this bespoke continuous curved under-bench LED lighting in RGBW for Conway Square in Newtonards. Each bench is individually controllable by our DMX system that has remote access and control from any phone or tablet. Our DMX system also controls the RGBW wall washers and all of the white lighting in the square.
